Yes, we're getting close! Hockey season is just around the corner folks.

-As previously mentioned we are running this season out of Watford Arena starting with the oldest group (Blades) at 7:30am.
-Spots do fill up very fast so please send in the registrations as soon as possible. Priority will be given to returning players and families but only if registration is in before September 1st. Please help make our job easier by sending registrations in as soon as you can.
-Anyone interested in helping with coaching or on ice devotions, please mention so by email or making note on the registration form.

As mentioned earlier, our end of the year party will be held Saturday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM at People's Church. There will be food, entertainment, awards and each player will receive their individual & team photo here. Players and family are invited. With just one game in the season to be finished, the Blades teams battled it out for the championship. It was a closely matched game but the White Blades came out ahead 5-2 taking the series 2-1, winning the 1st annual Blades Championship Cup. White Blades were led by 2 goals from David V and Micheal V added 3 helpers. Ryan V netted a pair for the Purple Blades but unfortunately it just wasn't enough.

Down 1-0 in their playoff series, it was do or die today for the Purple Blades and they responded. Simeon W led his team to a 3-1 victory forcing a deciding game next week at 8:00 A.M. Gordon S was able to net one for the White Blades but it just wasn't enough on this day.
Squared up with 1 win a piece, one of the teams had to come out on top today to capture the 1st annual Sabres cup. White Sabres started things off jumping to a 1-0 lead but Black Sabres stormed back in a big way with 3 unanswered goals. Kyle B saved his 1st goal of the season to seal the deal for the Black Sabres and give them a 3-1 victory and capture the championship. Great job by both teams.
The final game of the year proved to be a dandy as the Blue Daggers closed out the season with a 4-0 win. A solid performance between the pipes by Breydon W earned him the shutout while Hudson L also made some nice saves for the Whites. Keira W started the victory march for the Blues with the opening goal followed by Kyle C banging one home from the doorstep. Aiden T and Curtis J also scored for the Blues. Picking up assists in the game were Keira W and Carter W with 2 helpers. The Whites however were awarded with the trophy as the they had beat the Blues in the first 2 games of the best of 3 series.

That brings the season to an end for both the Daggers & Sabres. Blades have one final game next Saturday from 8 - 9:30 AM. The end of the year party will be Saturday April 2nd at People's Church. An email will be going out shortly. Please RSVP ASAP.

After skating to a 4-4 tie last week the Blades division started their best out of 3 series today. It was a tight game heading into the third period with the White Blades up 2-1 but everything opened up in the third with 5 goals combined. White Blades were able to come out on top and take this game 6-3 to take a 1-0 lead in their playoff series.
Down 1-0 in their playoff series, the Black Sabres had their backs to the wall. After a scoreless first period, Brandon W popped the first of his 2 goals of the day in to get the scoring started. Black Sabres didn't turn back from there winning the game 4-1. With the series tied 1-1, it all comes down to this Saturday.
The White Daggers came out on a mission this week and were determined to get the job done. Colten M opened the scoring with a goal in the first followed by another from Clay K shortly after. Before the first period was over Colten popped another with assists by Ben K and Joshua V. The Blues had some chances but Tommy H held solid in net and earned the shutout in the 9-0 win. Also scoring were Jacob K with a hat trick, Emma W and Austin A with his first of the year. Can the Blue Daggers salvage a victory out of this playoff round? Time will tell...
